Now, you don’t have to call it a blog; in fact, something like “News and Events” might be more appropriate. Most importantly, this is how you’ll get search engine traffic for your site via important elements called “keywords” (phrases, actually). How will you keep in touch with your clients, customers or site visitors? That’s easy. Create an Email List. Website visitors don’t usually buy your products or services on the first visit; you’ll need to inform them — build trust — first. You can do this by offering on-going news about your products/services. Or, for example, provide a course on how to utilize your services to their greatest advantage. To raise interest in your brand and, therefore, website, you will need to upload videos to YouTube. Why? The Web is becoming increasingly visual; if you don’t have a YouYube presence, you will be missing out on a lot of potential traffic. Brand your videos with a splash screen, watermark or ending credits, and you will be rewarded. Also, you’re going to embed these videos on your “blog” — very powerful stuff.
